The use and advantages of Ladder Dock

Ladders are the most common equipment and due to variety of purposes have equal importance in residential and commercial use. Ladders have a very practical use and most suited when you want to climb and reach something that is not within easy access to you. Ladders are mostly used to changing or repairing light bulbs or fixtures in the house, repairing fans or installing new ones, for painting the walls and roof of the house, for cleaning cobwebs that cling on the corners of the roof, to hang or place paintings or decoration items, carpenters also use ladders to perform variety of tasks.

There are more than a dozen applications of ladders but on the same time ladders are considered mostly as unsafe and risky to work on. The most common risk from working on the ladder is not been able to maintain balance, falling down and getting injured. The injuries may vary from slight bruising, to bone dislocation or fracture to back injury. For safety and protection ladder dock are now been widely used.

Ladder dock are secured to the edge of the roof surface and allow easy entry point to access the roof. When ladders are secured it prevents them from swinging left or right, falling from elevated structure. Ladder dock can also be used as a temporary tie off solution to help in repair work, and for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) options.

Traditionally wooden ladders were used but gradually they have been replaced by metal ladders for firm grip and support. Now ladders are made of non-corrosive materials and are easy to install. The designs of ladder dock allows it to be placed on easily on flat roofs and also on slightly sloping roofs and parapet roofs.
